This Week's Meeting
In addition to the usual Club business stuff, the featured speaker this week is Terry Bockovich, the driving force behind Down to Earth Community Gardens. She will give us an update on this organization. Terry is a past recipient of the Club's Citizen of the Year honor and active in the community.

In light of Jim Haugen's "retirement" from Rotary--does one ever really retire from Rotary?--President Chris is accepting nominations for Club Services Chair.

It is that time of the year, when our semi-annual dues will be billed. $150 with an optional $50 that goes directly to the Rotary Foundation.

The link to our YouTube Channel is now available on our website and our weekly bulletins. You can view recent online meetings. If you watch any of them, you can count it as a makeup. Just let our Secretary, Gary O'Rielly know.

Thank you to all of our sponsors this year. They are listed below. When you patronize them make sure to mention that you are a Lake Stevens Rotarian!

Congratulations, Viking Football Team-State Champions
Gathering at Lundeen Park for the Viking Football Team parade celebrating their State Championship. The parade kicked-off at 10 am with the Lake Stevens Police and the Snohomish Regional Fire & Rescue leading off.
More photos of the parade as it left Lundeen Park with many gathering to cheer the team on.
Congratulations to the players, coaches, families and the School District! This is the first 4A Football State Championship in the modern era.
Sherwood Community Services-SAVE THE DATE
An old friend and former member paid a visit to our Club last Friday. Ilene Levering was our speaker for Sherwood Community Service where she was recently promoted to Major Gifts and Donor Partnership Manager. Ilene spoke about the upcoming April 1st Gala at Tulalip.
As a follow-up to the presentation on Friday morning here is the information on sponsorships, tickets and items needed.

I have attached the sponsorship opportunities for you to review.  The date of the event is April 1, 2023 at the Tulalip Resort, tickets are $100 each or a table of 10 for $900.

They are in need of the following:

Live auction items: We have five maybe six strong items but are in need of a few more. If you have a rental or time share you would be willing to donate, an expensive bottle of wine, Quilceda Cabernet comes to mind, or a piece of rare sports memorabilia, or a day trip on a large boat, or fishing adventure, all of these ideas would make a fantastic donation.

Silent Auction Items: items like wine or alcohol baskets, game/movie/family baskets, food baskets are popular, home baskets or anything that you think others might enjoy.

Gift cards of $25 for our gift card game would also be helpful.

We would also love to source some matching funds. Statistically people will give more if they know there are matching funds available. So, if you know of an individual or company that might be interested in supporting, please let me know.

But most importantly we need people to attend and participate. Those who are passionate about the work we do and the adults and children we serve.

Thank you for your time and support, it is appreciated.
