This Week's Meeting

This week's meeting features a presentation by Snohomish County Councilman Nate Nehring. Councilman Nehring represents District 1 which is the entire north Snohomish County area. He will give us an update on Snohomish County.

Don't forget to register for the District 5050 Conference that will happen at the beginning of May. It will be at Harrison Hot Springs!

As we have mentioned, our Scholarship Portal is now open to accept applications from 2026 Lake Stevens High School graduating seniors. If you know of a senior who plans to pursue education after high school at a college, university of technical/vocational institution, please invite them to submit an application. Scout Troop 88-Annual Report

How has Troop 88 grown for the Scouts?

88 Girls Troop - Senior Patrol Leaders Elianna - focusing on growing and building the program - January was Whidbey Island Exploration Day; August camp out at YMCA Fort Casey; advancement camps are held twice per year to have scouts catch up on items that will help them advance and earn their badges

88 Boys - Senior Patrol Leader Brittan attended Aviation Day at Boeing and he was accepted as an intern; Fire Mountain Camp where they created a skit for the campfire and cooked clam chowder from scratch and hot cross buns in a Dutch oven; Lawless Forge outing where they learned about metal forging and made Christmas ornaments

88 Girls - Delaney - two Scouts (Oakley and Stella) reached Eagle Scout status in the past year; the Cub Scout Pack was reestablished this year; all the Scouts are working on recruiting new members.

Mulch sales for 2026 - delivery and spreading dates March 14, April 11, May 2 - Check out their Facebook page Troop 88 mulch fundraiser.

The Scouts are heading straight to winter camp at Lake Wenatchee after this meeting. 

 

Membership Dues
Members- invoices were sent to you for the semi-annual dues and voluntary contribution to The Rotary Fund (EREY). Cash, check, Venmo are all acceptable ways to make that payment. If you have yet to make your dues payment please contact the Treasurer to let him know when you will take care of this. Check your email for the invoice and be part of the Paid group. Thank you for supporting your Club.

The global youth network is dedicated to community and international service. Every Interact Club project, great or small, has a lasting impact on society worldwide.

Our regular Rotary Club Meetings are at the Lake Stevens School District Educational Service Center lower level Community Room located at 12309 22nd St NE. We start at 7:30 am. Click here for the online link. There will not be any breakfast served. However, coffee will be available. Visitors are always welcome.
