This Week's Meeting

The featured speaker at this week's meeting is Amy Arnes of the Bridge Receiving Center. Our Club supports the Center located not too far from Lake Stevens and we appreciate hearing from them periodically. Tracy Rubstello last visited us in August 2025.

Thank you Erinn for a great presentation last week and letting us get to know you a bit better.

Members! Put Saturday, June 13th on your calendars for a Texas-themed year end celebration of our Club. You were sent an invitation to the Banquet which will be held at the Lake Stevens Food Bank beginning at 4:30 pm. Make sure you RSVP by June 6th. Bring your significant other and your best Texas-themed outfits for a great time and to witness the installation of your new officers.

The link to our YouTube Channel is now available on our website and our weekly bulletins. You can view recent online meetings. If you watch any of them, you can count it as a makeup. Just let our Co-Secretary, Christine Egelstad know.

Club Community Projects & Classification Talk

Part One:  Erinn Matesi, Chair of our Club's Community Service Committee asked members to identify community needs and where we can provide help. The projects that were discussed were: 1) yardwork and lawn maintenance for seniors; 2) welcome wagon for new residents, visiting them and providing valuable information about Lake Stevens; 3) digital event sign for all residents and visitors but mostly helpful to new residents; 4) continue park maintenance potentially partnering with county for Lake Stevens Community Park and Centennial Trail and our Little League community; 5) holiday meal gift baskets for seniors by partnering with our scout troop to package and deliver during the holidays. Some really great ideas to embrace.

Part Two:  Classification Talk

Erinn shared photos of herself and her wedding to Tony, a fellow Rotarian. The presentation was light hearted and very enjoyable about the couple's activities from getting married, managing running events to ascending a mountain all by herself while loving gardening and working with plants in her garden. Erinn is a Specialty Sales Representative. In August, Erinn and Tony will celebrate five years of marriage. Both are passionate and engaged in outside activities. Erinn was recently asked to Chair the Club's Community Services Committee. Picking up on something that the Scouts do, she conceived the idea of creating Merit Badges for Club Members. The new process is underway. Great idea and accepted by our members.  Thanks Erinn.
