Last week our speaker was Alexandra Sossa, the Executive Director of The Farmworker and Landscaper Advocacy Project (FLAP). FLAP is a nonprofit organization based in Chicago. FLAP covers Illinois doing outreach, referrals, community education and community legal education presentations and visiting the workers as needed. In terms of litigation FLAP focuses on an 18 Counties area in Northern Illinois. FLAP also partners with other organizations to fight human labor trafficking. Alexandra wants us to spread the word to anyone we know who may need this help.
