Join the Rotary Clubs of Buffalo Grove, Arlington Heights, Wheeling, Palatine and River Cities as we team up for the World's Largest Polio Walk, a coordinated effort to raise awareness and support Rotary’s global fight to end polio. The walk will be held on the two-mile path at Lake Arlington on October 24 at 10 AM and is family-friendly.
Since 1988, when the Global Polio Eradication Initiative was launched, more than three billion children have been immunized against polio. Today, only two countries have never stopped the transmission of the wild poliovirus, down from 125.  Polio doesn’t care about borders, and until this disease is totally eradicated worldwide, we could see a global resurgence.  Please consider Rotary's END POLIO NOW campaign.

As part of this initiative, Rotarians and their families and friends are expected to participate across 11 states and 2 countries. Please register to sign up for this local walk. There is no cost to participate in this event, but donations to help fund Rotary's global effort to eradicate polio are encouraged!
