Walk With Us to End Polio
On Saturday, October 24, 2026 (World Polio Day), the Rotary Club of Buffalo Grove will join thousands of Rotarians across the world for the World's Largest Polio Walk, a single, unified step toward a polio-free world.
Our walk: Lake Arlington (2201 North Windsor Drive Arlington Heights, IL) at 10:00AM. Everyone is welcome; you do not need to be a Rotarian to walk or give. Register to walk here!
Why it matters
Since 1985, Rotary has led the global fight to eradicate polio, helping reduce cases by more than 99.9%. Today, the wild virus remains in just two countries, but until it is gone everywhere, children everywhere are at risk. We are This Close, and your gift helps finish the job.
Where your donation goes
Every dollar supports The Rotary Foundation's PolioPlus program, funding vaccines, disease surveillance, and immunization campaigns in vulnerable communities. Contributions are matched 2-to-1 by the Gates Foundation, so your gift goes three times as far.
