To the Rotary Club
On behalf of St. James High School, I wish to express my sincere gratitude towards the members of the Club for agreeing to help one of our needy students. The money was used to pay for an orphan who is in her first year at our school. We are very thankful on her behalf. She is one of the gifted students in her group. She was very happy when we informed her that we had chosen her to benefit from this donation.
Mr. and Mrs. Liser, who came to help in our school in the years 1988 and 1999, know the situation of poverty in our rural area. Now the situation is made worse by the HIV/AIDS pandemic. The number of orphans increases every year in our school.
We would feel guilty to expell them from school because they are not able to pay schoolfees. But this creates financial problems at our school. So this donation is a big gift to us. We would llike to pass special thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Lister who introduced our school to you. Once more, thank you very much.
