Jamie presented the band shell project proposal. He has completed an extensive tour across Canada in search of the perfect model band shell. The band shell site would be the same which is used in Little Lake on Canada Day. The proposed design is a wooden structure that would cost $35,000 in materials.
Brian Mackell, from the Town of Midland, has indicated that they would prefer to see a structure that combined concrete and steel. However, this would push the price tag towards $200,000.
Vandalism concerns were discussed regarding the wooden structure. The possibility of raising the additional funds and building a concrete structure was also discussed.
