Jack Contin, president of the Aboriginal Tourism Association Was our guest speaker on September 29.

Mr. Contin spoke to the club about the Midland area being identified strategically as a preferred aboriginal tourism destination, and the continuing efforts of the association to develop a total destination stop, including an RV park. Some of the challenges facing the association include building awareness through relationships within many circles, developing the infrastructure needed for the development, and of course financial limitations. The overall strategy to develop our area as an aboriginal tourism destination is a $10M plan, of which about $2.5M has been invested. As the project progresses, Mr. Contin looks forward to a continued relationship with our club and its members.
