Joyce Campbell introduced our District Governor Mike Kinsey... Mike is very passionate about Rotary and his enthusiasm shines through. He moved to Barrie (temporarily he thought) about 30 years ago. However that soon changed and he started a company called MAK Mechanical in Barrie. He joined Rotary and then his real rotary moment was a trip to Cambodia to deliver bicycles, this turned out to be a start of another project in which a new school was built with assistance from Barrie Kempenfelt club, other district clubs. They have been supporting the school and recently set up a sewing school to give villagers a chance to earn a living. At District Level, Mike took on the 7010 New Generations which oversees Interact, Rotaract, Short term exchanges, New Generation Services & Ryla. Mike is most proud that there are 7 Rotaract Clubs in the district, that we continue to raise funds and awareness to end polio (next week we have marching orders and will be wearing ponchos). He also advised to use the Rotary Club Central, which has some good information. Mike also challenged us to get all our old Rotary Records and get them up on the Cloud, so it can be seen by others and new members... As his last deed Mike presented Pres Bill with his Rotary Black Sheep Pin.
