Steve spoke for Alison and said that Vocational had processed 3 applications for exchange students, had sent Tim King from Penetang to the Adventures in High Tech and he will be speaking to the Club soon, and Sue Hofmeister is continuing with the Student of the Month management.

Mike Thor and Dwayne Frans are 'out there' on the PR front.

Ron Crane reported for the Community Services Committee saying that they spend a lot of time reviewing the many requests for assistance.  Their budget seems high because long term commitments like the payments to the RVH are funnelled through their budget.  The Committee has approved $15,000.00 for the extension of the trails and signange but not till the litigation is over.  They expect to be facing some challenges in the next year and are proposing to give an extra $2,500.00 each to St. Vincent de Paul, the Salvation Army and Rosewood.  They have also established a fund at the Salvation Army and are forwarding personal requests for assistance to them for evaluation.  The 5 year commitment to Rotary House is 40% paid and the one to the Hospital Foundation is 75%.  Another Party on the Dock should finish that one.

Neil spoke for International.  The roster of the Committee is all new so there's a learning curve for many.  They are researching a major project and should have a recommendation in the new year.  Elaine Nichols is back from El Salvador and had an emotional experience handing out 1,400 wheelchairs they assembled themselves.  She wrote to the Club about the gratitude of the recipients and the thrill of seeing young people given their first sense of mobility.  The were visited by the Canadian Ambassador while they were there.  The Committee continues to support Shelter Boxes, Polio Plus and Polio Partners.  Neil also had a talk with the Rev. Peter from Sierra Leone and he's been back to see the school and the roof that Rotary paid for.  He's thrilled.

Sandie and Joyce have been responsible for the many great activities this year organized by the Club Services Committee.  There should be a College of Knowledge in the new year.
