Neil reported that at long last the Club is finished with the Tblisi project and the International Committee can now focus on finding a new project.  He said the Committee has been helping on small projects, like Shirley Trudeau's mission, and they are looking into helping with the school that was discussed last week.

Alison said the Board had found that organizing programs is too big a job for one or two people and has decided to make up a schedule whereby every member will be responsible for one day per year.  Each of us can present something ourselves or invite someone.  There will be a system of call to remind but there will be a printed schedule so we can keep track.  This will start in June.

Alison also reported that thanks to the Committees and the Membership the Club has met every qualification for a Presidential Citation again this year.  It is also close to qualifying for the District Governor Honour Roll except for donations to the Foundation.  The goal this year is not just $100.00 per member but 'every member/every year'.  So far about half have donated.  Alison asked members to call if they're bringing a guest so meals can be planned.

Joyce said President's Night will be June 25, a night to honour the outgoing President and her achievements over the past year.  The theme will be Martinis.  Any ideas?

Steve reported the Board is in place for next year.  He and Ralph are going to PETS and he's registered for the International Conference in LA.  The focus is membership, which forms the core strength of the Club, means successful meetings and support to our projects.  He'd like to see more vocational visits.  He encouraged us all to donate - Alison has done everything and even ten bucks will count.  It'll be a shame if we miss because of this one thing.  Joyce added her voice saying the Club is a huge advocate of the Foundation and deserves the recognition.  Make a gift in memoriam.  Yvonne Hamelin volunteered to have a box at the welcome table next week for people to drop a cheque into and the suggestion was made that the names of those who miss be forwarded to Dean Nicholls.  Think about that!

Rod said membership decline has been arrested but it's still a major goal and there hasn't been enough growth.  We've had 11 join and 6 resign.  He'd like to see an increase of 10 by the end of June.  Jamie Tripp has a spread sheet on the names that were distributed months ago with a record of contacts.  Keep Jamie notified of your efforts so he can update.

Janice said RYLA is this weekend with 55 people registered which is up from last year.  The Club sent two this year.  We are waiting for notification concerning our next inbound exchange student.  Cornelius is at the Cowdens and will be gong to Sandie's soon.  The Committee is starting a new application process for the scholarship.  The feelling was that the school sort of dealt them out but that the recipient didn't really understand Rotary and so students will apply and discuss how they represent Service Above Self.  The Vocational Visit to the Y will be July 8.

Sandie said there will be an Honourary Members' Lunch on June 11 with a special guest speaker.  She has found a wholesaler who can get Lobsters here the next day but some discussion showed that it would be difficult to schedule when they were available - the Club's too busy!  It was deferred for now.
