President Steve Giddens opened the meeting and welcomed everyone.

He thanked everyone involved with our very successful dinner auction on Saturday night. The venue was great, the food good, and it was a credit to all members. He thanked Michael Boyd and the team for the work done. Many people stated that they will be coming along again next year.

A highlight of the night was seeing Ian Cairns and Mary there.

He reminded everyone of our Changeover lunch on Sunday 3 July.

Last night representatives from Warrnambool, Daybreak, Central and East Rotary Clubs met to discuss arrangements for the three Youth Exchange students next year. Thanks to Louise for putting together a fantastic presentation. The three inbound students in July will be Tim from Germany, Axelle from France and Mathilde from Denmark. The four Rotary clubs will share the care and responsibility for these young people.

The Eisteddfod has been keeping us busy with a good response to date. Another round will be starting the week after next for the Jazz section. 

Rob Bishop is undergoing a knee reconstruction tomorrow and it would be great for Rotarians to stay in touch with Ron. Any offers of an outing or transport would be appreciated.

Steve advised that the CFA will be opening 10 fire stations from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in 2-3weeks time. The brigades are going to do some BBQ's for farmers with the aim of enjoying some food, a chat and a supportive environment. There will also be a speaker who will be giving a talk on the dairy industry. Volunteers are need to help with the BBQ (2 people per BBQ for a couple of hours). An email will go around via Clubrunner with further information on this event.
