Rotary Jackets
Delia spoke to members about 3 types of Rotary jackets which members may wish to purchase.
1. Long sleeved navy blue - Cost $40 with an extra $7.70 for the logo and another $3.50 to have your name embroidered on the top.
2. Jacket which is interchangeable - one side blue, the other side beige. Brian Trenery will advise of the cost.
3. Navy and blue reversible jacket which can convert to a vest with removal of sleeves. Cost $75 or $82.50 with logo.
Rotarians were asked to have a think about their preference and there will be further discussion at next week's meeting and probably a vote on the preferred option.

BBQ Volunteers
2 big BBQ's coming up and rosters are being prepared by Tony.
Relay for Life - Friday 9 February - Tony is looking for someone to help him unload the truck and set up at 4:00 pm on the Friday. Heavy work is involved, so you need to be reasonably fit.
Another BBQ is needed - thanks Malcom Price for offering yours.
Proceeds from the BBQ plus Club contribution will be $1,000. If anyone else wishes to contribute to this cause, their donation will be on top of the $1000. Please give your donations to John Beks, acting Treasurer.

Why do I walk? Well, let's see...
Have you taken a look at my family tree?
It's covered with those, who have lost the fight,
Those who can't kiss their kids goodnight.
Those who live with pain and fear,
Hoping for good health for another year,
I walk, so that my children may know
The joy of watching THEIR children grow.
I walk, because I'm driven to do it,
To give hope to those who are going through it.
I walk to ensure a few more hugs
For those people that are counting on drugs.
To ease their pain and their minds
About saying "goodbye" before their time.
I'll walk today, and tomorrow for sure,
I'll walk until they find a cure.

Rotary Peace Concert
The Rotary Peace Concert will be held on Thursday 8 March 2018 at the Lighthouse Theatre.
Anne will help to sell tickets while Karina is away - cost at bulk discounted rate is $30. If you purchase a ticket at the door it will cost you more.
Funds go to the Rotary Peace Foundation

Trennen Tri (a trio from Adelaide including Harp, Scottish Fiddle and Guitar).
The Borderers singing a Celtic Australian drama of Les Darcy's fight and choice to be an objector to Australia's involvement in WW1.
Tom Richardson - Warrnambool's own troubadour.
Neil Murray - 2017 Port Fairy Artist of the Year.
The Rotary Peace Choir is practising at the Hammond Centre, Christchurch on Tuesday afternoon at 5:30 pm. All welcome.
Fashion Parade
The next fashion parade will be on Sunday 8th April at 2:00 pm.
This year Gazman Fashions will be partnering with Daizy Boutique. Male models are needed.
Also needed are entrance and raffle prizes.
Free Aqua Aerobics at Aquazone
This Friday at 9:00 am come along for a free water aerobics class and bring your friends and family for a morning's entertainment in the water. Don't worry about your image!

Longest Lunch
Rotary Daybreak has extended an invitation to our Club to attend their Longest Lunch on 25th February. This may be difficult as it is on the same day as the CFA BBQ, and we need all hands on deck to help out with this big event.

Raffle Update
Steve finished off selling unfinished books at the meeting and advised that Louise will be taking the books back to Ballarat this week. A good result this year and well done to the Club.

Barefoot Bowls - 27 February at the Dennington Bowls Club
Dinner will be fish and chips with salad - sweets yet to be decided - drinks at bar prices.
Same cost as normal Club meeting $22.
Numbers are needed the week before, so please let Judy know. Friends and family are encouraged to come along to this event.

Folkie Roster - 9-12 March
The Club needs 24 volunteers over the weekend to do two shifts each (10 hours). Volunteers get free entry to the festival for all 4 days and the Club makes around $4,500 each year.
Volunteers need to be over 18 years of age and can be Club members, friends and family.
Please contact David Brown if you want to be involved this year.
Our Chair for the night, Rachel Furnell, introduced Club member Tony Austin. During the years 1982 to 2004 Tony was Head of the Information Communication Technology (ICT) Faculty and the ICT Manager at Brauer College (formerly the Warrnambool Technical School).
