The Australian people are so friendly, I knew about this but I had no idea how they are friendly.
I’m living in Warrnambool, a beautiful city but with a ‘crazy’ weather.
My first day in school was cold and I hoped a boring day because I did not know anybody and my English was so poor. However, it really was an amazing day. Many students came talk to me and I felt at home.
Another thing important to me is do all that I am invited, because it is just one year and the proposal is live the life here like the Australians live. I’m sure everything will be useful.
Nowadays I have a social life. I have friends, schedules and tests at school. I am doing Math, English, Accounting, Biology, Food and Physical Education. It is awesome.
I was living with Svet and Russell, It was amazing and I learned many things with them. Svet is so lovely and she is the best cook, Russell is very smart and friendly, he always helped me. They took me to aquarium in Melbourne in my first weekend, I tried many different things like Thai and Croatian food, I had my first BBQ at Tower Hill and I saw kangaroos, Emus and a koala very close to me. I did different programs with Svet and I learned to understand and enjoy Footy with Russell.
I am very grateful to them and I learned in few weeks more than I expected for one year.
I am currently living with Terry, my counsellor and I am enjoying a lot, he is always in a good mood and he is very nice to talk. Last weekend, Terry and I went to Hobart in Tasmania and I met his daughter and grandchildren. They are a lovely family. Tasmania is very cool and I loved.
After this we visited his another daughter in Melbourne and it was awesome as well.
Ultimately I am so happy here and I don’t have any complaints. Thank you for the opportunity and sorry for my english.
