Paul Harris Recognition
District Governor Margaret Walton presents Andrea Tilley with her Paul Harris recognition.
It is the practice of the BEL Club is to recognize the contributions and dedication of the outgoing president with a Paul Harris Fellow and there is no question that Past President Dave is deserving, but at his request there was a variance from the tradition. President Tony had the honour of recognizing a member of our Rotary family who demonstrates a shared purpose with the mission of the Rotary Foundation: World Peace and Understanding.
The Rotary Foundation has become the philanthropic arm of our organization. Its mission is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty.
Andrea Tilley has been a dedicated member of our Rotary Family. She has supported Past President David through his two terms as president, supported our club events and most recently travelled to Cambodia to participate in the school build. Andrea is also very involved in her church and works to make the local community a better place. Andrea’s contributions make a difference in our local and international communities.
District Governor Margaret Walton presented Andrea with the Paul Harris pin in recognition of her support and work to make this world a better place. We move closer to a peaceful world as Andrea Tilley becomes a Paul Harris Fellow.
