At our annual Foundation and Paul Harris Dinner, the BEL Club had the honour of recognizing two of our community partners and two valued members with a Paul Harris Fellow for their incredible contributions. Girv Devitt has been a dedicated member for more than 40 years. He has served on all committees (including two times as president) and lead and participated in both international and local projects. Congratulations Girv on your Paul Harris +7.
Mike Richardson is the “go to guy”. He has been instrumental in connecting with schools to support local families through the “adopt a family” and seasonal programs, and works behind the scenes to make things happen! He sees needs in our community and works to meet those needs. Well done Mike on receiving your Paul Harris Fellow.
Through his business connections and retail store John Le Quang of John’s Independent Grocer has made significant contributions to the betterment of the community. He has supported many projects of the BEL Club through the provision of food items for the Adopt a Family, Easter and Thanksgiving festive meals and the food bank projects. He steps up and offers the support, often before it is asked for.
Kim and Craig Telford or Scott Concrete Products Ltd. have been supportive and active members of the community for many years. They have supported the BEL Club with materials in kind to help with Rotary Park upgrades. They are willing sponsors of all events (golf tournament, voluntary toll etc) their donations exceeding that which is requested. Their business has supported the community for many years.
