On Saturday, February 28, 2026, the Town of Parry Sound is hosting “An Olympic Homecoming with Megan Oldham” at the Charles W. Stockey Centre. Doors open at 11:00 AM, the program begins at 11:30 AM, and autographs run until 1:30 PM. Then the celebration spills onto James Street for a downtown street party from 12:30–3:30 PM, with Megan joining the street party at 1:30 PM. It’s free admission, first come, first served—the perfect setup for a town that believes pride is something you practice together.

As the founding president of the newly chartered Rotary Club of Parry Sound Revival, Rick Cain’s leadership has been the steady force behind its success. Over the past year, Rick poured countless hours into working with membership, guiding meetings, and navigating the demanding Rotary charter process. His vision, persistence, and quiet determination carried the club through challenges that might have stalled a less committed leader. The August 28th charter celebration at his home with Sue was not just a party but the culmination of Rick’s hard work. His efforts have laid a strong foundation for community service, fellowship, and growth.
