The Gathering

Rooted in ancestral culture and knowledge, the Unite For Good Gathering honours the traditional practice of Indigenous storytelling — the sacred teachings passed orally from generation to generation since the beginning of time. Honoured speakers Chief Warren Tabobondung (retired), Chief Dan Sayers (former), and Chief Adam Pawis will share the gift of story with those of us gathered.

It is through the time-honoured Anishinaabek tradition of oral storytelling that the truths, ancestral wisdom and knowledge, and lived experiences of the original peoples will be lovingly shared, uplifted, and carried into the future — in a kind way, a good way, the Anishinaabe way.

The gathering will include a community-building social and dinner followed by knowledge sharing.
