The Smithtown Sunrise Rotary had our joint quarterly meeting with The Smithtown Rotary Club on Thursday July 27. We had over 50 people from both clubs. Also in attendance was our Rotary District 7255 District Governor, Thomas Crowley of Hampton Bays & Assistant Governor Flora Parekh of Ronkonkoma. Crowley discussed “Together, we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change - across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.”

Rotary’s upcoming campaign called, “Don’t Bottle It Up”, strives to break the stigma for mental health awareness through the world. We need to be able to speak up about mental health to family, friends and others. The district will also be conducting a mental health program for schools, law enforcement, first responders and veterans.

The Rotary Club of Smithtown Sunrise meets Thursday mornings from 7:30AM - 8:45AM at the Smithtown Millennium Diner.

We also meet on zoom and have an occasional Dinner meeting at another location.
