President's Message

Hello Rotarians, Rotaractors and friends.

Welcome to the month of June! While June is the last month of the Rotary year, it is the middle month of the calendar year. So while you are closing the Rotary year, on the other hand you are reviewing your half way progress report on your annual goals. Luckily for Rotarians, we get to review our performance and plan for a new year.

Right on cue our Club Assembly will consider next year's work-plan and budget. I therefore urge you to review the documents and also attend the Club Assembly. That way you participate in determining what your club will focus on next year.

June is Rotary Fellowships Month

Every Rotarian joins a club, but Rotary offers opportunities to build friendships and pursue passions that extend far beyond club meetings and service projects. One of the most enjoyable ways to do this is through Rotary Fellowships.

A Journey That Began with Small Acts

PE Olive's Acceptance Speech

As I accept the honour of serving as the 39th President of the Rotary Club of Kampala North, I do so with humility, gratitude and a deep sense of responsibility. This moment is more than a title to me. It is a calling to serve, to lead, and to make a difference.

My journey of service did not begin in boardrooms, nor did it begin with titles or positions. It began many years ago when I was still a young girl, guided by values of compassion and service. As an O-Level student, I participated in collecting and distributing small items to hospitals in Iganga. At university, together with friends, I visited children in the Mulago Cancer Ward, offering treats, companionship and encouragement.

The Unknown Facts About Our Club

Some members enjoy numbers. Others enjoy stories. But every now and then, numbers quietly become stories — especially when they reveal patterns about the people we fellowship with, serve with, and celebrate every week.

For

For members who have a keen interest in patterns hidden in data, this piece is a small treat. We looked at our club membership information not as a report, but as a mirror of who we are: our years of service, leadership journeys, birthday trends, admission months, generational spread, and even the playful surprises tucked away in our names.

Behind every number is a Rotarian, a story, and a record of service.

So, let us take a relaxed walk through the numbers behind the Rotary Club of Kampala North — and discover the fun facts that make our club story even more interesting.
