Hello Rotarians, Rotaractors and friends.

Welcome to the month of June! While June is the last month of the Rotary year, it is the middle month of the calendar year. So while you are closing the Rotary year, on the other hand you are reviewing your half way progress report on your annual goals. Luckily for Rotarians, we get to review our performance and plan for a new year.

Right on cue our Club Assembly will consider next year's work-plan and budget. I therefore urge you to review the documents and also attend the Club Assembly. That way you participate in determining what your club will focus on next year.

Furthermore, we had an amazing installation for PE Olive Lumonya on 25th May 2026. It was a glitzy affair with excellent attendance. Not only by you members, but also the wider Rotary family. Showing what the new Rotary year will bring, we also had excellent attendance by our corporate partners. Beyond the installation and enjoyment, we raised some money. It was a great celebration of our incoming leaders.

Installation 2026 by the numbers: 219 guests, 68 Rotary-family clubs and groups represented, and 54 RCKN members present.

I extend thanks to the Organising team led by PN Ronnie Mutebi for an excellent job. I also extend gratitude to our corporate partners Nile Breweries, Fotogenix, Crown Beverages and many many more.

It was a great celebration of our incoming leaders and a wonderful demonstration of the support that surrounds Rotary Club of Kampala North.

To you our members, you gave generously and also attended. Thank you.

To the many Rotarians, Rotaractors and friends who joined us, we are grateful.

To the new team, I am particularly grateful for my appreciation plaque. It is a wonderful reminder of the beauty of this Rotary year.

Last but not least, Ebola is here. Let us follow the SOPs to ensure we are all safe.

Let us remain vigilant, follow the recommended SOPs, and keep ourselves, our families and our communities safe.
