August Meet and Greet a Success!!
Several members of Rotary Club of D7390 Passport and members from the Rotary Club of Mechanicsburg-North met at Marzoni's in Mechanicsburg recently. We enjoyed sharing our visions and ideas for both our individual clubs and the district as a whole.  Special Guest, District Governor Rebecca Zalit, also joined in the event and collected a couple books for the "District 7390 Early Literacy Book Drive".
It was great to catch up and get to know other Rotarians!
Passport's District Club Grant Dedication
Rotarians, Mechanicsburg borough staff, and elected officials had a ribbon cutting on June 29th of the newest environmental park, The Quarry. It marked the completion of a Club District Grant for two benches and a table and celebrated the partnership of the Rotary Club of D7390 Passport with Mechanicsburg Borough, the Rotary Club of Mechanicsburg-North and the Rotary Club of Yellow Breeches to make this a LASTING IMPACT for the residents and visitors.

Passport Club Earns "100% Paul Harris Fellow Club" Award!

At the recent year end/beginning celebration of The Rotary Club of D7390 Passport, members Karen Tillman, Paul Brunski, Beth Chesnut and Gena Hudson were recognized with Paul Harris Fellow Awards.  The PHF recognition is one of Rotary International's highest honors recognizing individuals who have contributed $1,000 or more- or have had that amount donated in their name- to support The Foundation’s humanitarian, educational, and peace building programs around the world.

 

Then, an extra-special award was presented to 2025-2026 President, Karen Anthony and Club Foundation Chair, Paul Duryea by Rotary District Governor M.B. Brunski and Kathleen Stoup, the District Rotary Foundation Chair. The Rotary Club of D7390 Passport Club is now considered a "100% Paul Harris Fellow Club".  This one-time award is given to clubs where ALL of the members are PHF members showing their collective dedication to Rotary's ideals and support of The Rotary Foundation.

The Passport Club hopes this tradition is a continual one and that the recognition brings light and further support of The Rotary Foundation in our district.  They are proud of all the humanitarian projects, educational programs, disaster relief efforts, and the global campaign to eradicate polio.

 

This honor recognizing the commitment to The Foundation furthers the mission of “Service Above Self” and was certainly a great way to end and begin a new Rotary year for Passport’s Members, Visiting Rotarians, and Guests alike!

Club District Grant Completed!!

Another Successful MOM-N-PA Event!
D7390 Passport members Gary and Marie Davis helped create another successful Mission of Mercy in PA event recently in Allentown. We're all excited to have it in Harrisburg in 2027 and hope to flood the volunteer roster with Rotarians and friends across our district!!
Passport Present at Multi-District Conference 2026
Five of our Passport members attended the Multi-District Conference in Gettysburg where over 350 other Rotarians were moved by historical events, inspired by amazing youth, and called to action by credible leadership. Definitely an event to remember!
 
Passport Helps York-North with Monte Carlo Event
Hearts were full and smiles abounded when Passport Club Members joined York-North's Monte Carlo Night at the Margaret Moul Home in York recently. Residents enjoyed betting and winning chips while playing casino games such as roulette, black jack and even a "human slot machine" throughout the first floor of the amazing facility. We're already excited to help out again next year!
4th Annual Chicken BBQ a Success!
Thanks to all who supported our successful 4th Annual Chicken BBQ on April 4th!! We’re excited to use those funds to continue supporting our local communities and area youth across District 7390. Huge shout out to this year’s sponsors, Terri & Marsha Davis, Mid Penn Bank on Derry Street in Harrisburg, and Christian Insight Ministry also in Harrisburg. We truly appreciate their and our meal buyers’ support!
 
Passport Club Represented Well at Recent PELS
Current President (Karen Anthony), Assistant Governor (Carmen Calderon), District Administrator (Melissa Kopp-Smith), and President Elect (Karen Tillman) all represented Rotary D7390 Passport Club well at the recent President Elect Learning Seminar in King of Prussia.  The annual event, sponsored by four districts, helps prepare upcoming presidents and assistant governors for their 2026-2027 year of leadership.  We know you'll be great in your positions  Karen T and Carmen!!

Passport Club Active at RMB Event
The Passport Club was proud to co-sponsor the recent Rotary Means Business (RMB) event held at the Rolls-Royce Museum in Mechanicsburg on Thursday, February 12th, 2026. Approximately 60 Rotarians and guests attended the event and each was able to share about their clubs, businesses and/or philanthropic involvement.
Local Family Blessed by Members
Because of the benevolence of a generous D7390 Passport member, we were able to adopt a Harrisburg family for Christmas. Complete with a visit from Santa himself, presents were purchased and wrapped for both mother and children.  We felt incredibly blessed and honored to show them what this season is all about!
 
Making Noise for a Good Cause!
Passport members recently spent time ringing the Salvation Army Bell at Boscov's in Camp Hill. We were moved by the sharing of donors' stories of how this amazing organization had touched their lives.

Passport Supports World Polio Day!
To show their support of someday eradicating polio once and for all, some members of the Passport Club and their guests gathered

Passport Club Visits Keystone Correctional Services
Passport Members and several guests gained unique insights (and a few pounds when being treated to pizza and personal sized bundt cakes) recently when visiting Keystone Correctional Services.  Member Terry Davis treated us to dinner while sharing the background of starting his business. He followed it up by giving us a tour of the facility so we could see firsthand how both inside and outside communities work together to help create successful people.
 
Since we were together in person, it was the perfect time for President, Karen Anthony, to award Gary and Marie Davis with their Paul Harris with 2 rubies pins.

District Governor, Mary Brunski, Visits Our Club!
In addition to seeing so many of our friendly faced members at our September meeting, we were honored to have our own District Governor, Mary Brunski attend.  She reminded us how important it is to: SHARE our Rotary Stories, PROMOTE the good we're doing in our community, and utilize the RESOURCES that the district provides. Thank you Mary for all you do for District 7390!
 
Four Way Test Speech Contest Participant Recognized

Rotary District 7390 holds an annual Rotary Four-Way Test Speech Contest. The Speech contest is based around the Rotary Four Way test; Is it the TRUTH, Is it FAIR to all Concerned, Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS, Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned. High school students from grades 10, 11 & 12 can participate in the contest by simply writing a speech that applies the Rotary Four Way test to the subject of the speech. During the 2024-2025 Rotary year, the Passport Club had an outstanding student participate in the Speech Contest! The Club presented Ben with a check for his efforts. 
 
Ben Witmer is a rising Senior at York Catholic High School. He loves music and singing and has participated in the school musical for the past 2 years. Ben is a member of Scouting America and recently received the highest rank in Scouting which is the rank of Eagle Scout. Ben likes hiking, camping, motorcycles, cars and his favorite hobby is learning about history! The topic of his speech was how History relates to the Rotary Four Way Test. 
Team Davis Supports Another Successful MOM-n-PA Event!
We are so proud of Passport Club Members, Gary and Marie Davis, who were key instrumentalists in a successful MOM-n-PA event this year held in Wilkes-Barre! Pictured here are Karen Anthony, Marie Davis, and John Anthony who took a break from their volunteer duties to show how Rotarians can be involved, too.
From Profit to Purpose
Although our goal was to sell the luscious 400 dinners prepared by Kauffman's Chicken BBQ, we experienced a monetary “loss" for our 2025 fundraiser. BUT,  knowing we acted in true Rotary fashion by donating the unsold meals to a combination of Bethesda Mission in Harrisburg, New Hope Ministries in Mechanicsburg and countless people at the Homeless Encampment (near PenDOT) in Harrisburg, we are declaring it a Successful D7390 Passport Rotary Event and worth all of our efforts!
D7390 Passport Joins York-North & Mechanicsburg-North Rotary Clubs Team Up To Host Monte Carlo night at the Margaret E Moul Home
This was the fourth Year that the Rotary Club of York-North entertained the Margaret E. Moul Home residents with Casino Night, but this year D7390 Passport Club lended our support on April 24, 2025. The residents played blackjack and roulette, along with chuck-a-luck and the dice wheel.  Donna Keller from the Recreation Department commented that “We have a bunch of amazing volunteers from the Rotary Clubs that helped us put this on”.
The residents had fun and won some prizes and just had a good old time! 
First Billiards Tournament a Success!
Wow...what a fun way to spend a winter afternoon! Organizer Carmen Calderon "Ran the Table" with this event that raised over $1,100 for our club's endeavors.
