Organization Name: Sleeping Children Around the World
Ralf will share his experience of participating in a Sleeping Children Around the World (SCAW) distribution of 8,000 bed kits to children in India over a two week period. Examples of SCAW relying on local Rotary clubs who were responsible for most of the logistics.
About the speaker:
Ralf Soeder is a 24 yr member of Rotary who has participated in a couple of international Rotary service trips. Ralf has witnessed how Rotary partners up with other local and international organizations to offer a hand up for those less fortunate in South Africa, Ghana, Dominican Republic and India.
About the organization:
Sleeping Children Around the World was started by the Dryden family 50 years ago in Toronto to provide bed kits for children in impoverished communities internationally. A charitable organization where most funding comes from families sponsoring one or more bed kits at a time. Appx. 1.5 million bed kits have been distributed to date.
