Dear Members of the Rotary Club of Oakville,

The Environmental Committee is delighted to invite you, your families and friends to participate in our 2026 Community Clean-Up Event on Saturday, April 18, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This year, we will be working across two locations:

1) ValleyBrook Park – coordinated by George Vincent
Address: 1150 Valleybrook Dr, Oakville

(Meeting point is the intersection of Valleybrook Dr & Pineview Dr, Oakville)

2) Morrison Channel – coordinated by Karla Cabrera

Address: Meeting point is the intersection of 8th Line & Falgarwood Dr, Oakville

We kindly ask that you register each individual attending, including family members and guests, so we can plan appropriately and ensure everyone is accounted for.

To recognize the contributions of our volunteers:

• Students will receive volunteer hours, and
• All participants will receive a coupon for free popcorn at Film.ca as a small thank‑you for helping keep our community beautiful.

After the clean-up, you are warmly invited to join us at the Pump & Patio Pub in Oakville for lunch, laughter, and a relaxed celebration of our shared commitment to the environment and to one another. Feel free to arrive as soon as your shift wraps up.

Community clean-ups are a simple but powerful way to protect local ecosystems, strengthen community pride, and demonstrate Rotary’s ongoing commitment to service. Your participation truly makes a difference.

Notes for Volunteers

To ensure everyone has a safe and comfortable experience, please consider the following:

  1. Parking at both locations may be limited, so we encourage carpooling where possible. 
  2. Dress for the weather
  3. Wear clear/bright colours for visibility
  4. Long sleeves and high socks are recommended
  5. Comfortable, closed‑toe shoes
  6. Hair tied back if long
  7. Supplies will be provided by us, though you are encouraged to bring your own pick-up stick
