A 2015 MESSAGE FROM THE BELLAIRE ROTARY BOARD

January is Rotary Awareness Month - a time when we make a special effort to tell others about what Rotary does and all the wonderful people in our Rotary family - the extended family that starts with the family of every Bellaire Rotarian and widens to include all whose lives are touched and improved by this great organization.
Our extended family includes friends, project partners, fellow Rotarians in District 5890 and around the world, youth program participants in EarlyAct, InterAct, RotarAct, Rotary Youth Exchange, and scholarships, Rotary fellowships and action groups, global peace efforts, Paul Harris Fellows, and on and on and on.
Our gifts to others throughout the year can be summarized by Rotary's Six Areas of Focus: promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water; saving mothers and children; supporting education; and growing local economies here and around the world. And what are Rotary's gifts to each of us? Enhanced Morals, Respect, Character, Common Sense, Trust, Patience, and Integrity. Let us be thankful for the opportunity to serve others through Rotary during 2015 and the chance to make ALL things new with love.
