The Moreton Bay Sea Country Showcase is a collaboration between The University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC), Rotary-ESRAG and the Moreton Bay Foundation (TMBF). Speakers are from UniSc's School of Science, Technology and Engineering Research Clusters.

The University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC) is proud to be recognised as a global leader in marine science, recently ranked 20th in the world by Times Higher Education for impact in UN Sustainable Development Goal 14: Life Below Water.

This half-day event at UniSC’s Moreton Bay campus brings together researchers, community members, industry, environmental managers, and decision makers to share and discuss the latest in marine research.

Presentations will cover a range of topics, from global climate change and practical restoration efforts to iconic species conservation.

Speakers will highlight UniSC's work both in Moreton Bay and beyond, showcasing local expertise, current projects, and future priorities.

Together, we’ll explore what research is needed to help protect and monitor Moreton Bay in the lead-up to Brisbane 2032.

The event is co-hosted by UniSC, Rotary Redcliffe Sunrise --- (ESRAG) and The Moreton Bay Foundation.

Morning tea will be provided, and attendees will have the opportunity to join a guided tour of UniSC Moreton Bay’s state-of-the-art teaching and research facilities, opened just last year.

SHOWCASE THEMES:
