Rotary Burlington Lakeshore has been presenting Student awards for the past 26 years and now has the honour of being one of the highest student awards programs in Ontario. This year a total of $66500 was awarded to students from the Halton Region.
This year’s Student Award Gala Dinner was held on the 13th of June at the Art Gallery of Burlington. 
 
Rotary Burlington Lakeshore has been presenting Student awards for the past 26 years and now has the honour of being one of the highest student awards programs in Ontario. This year a total of $66500 was awarded to students from the Halton Region.
The calibre of students applying for the awards was once again outstanding and the successful winners were presented with their cheques during the evening. 
 
This year’s winners were: 
 
  1. McMaster Scholarship Awards - $15,000 to Micheal Zoretti 
  2. Academic Awards - $3,500 each: 
    • Laura Zhukas 
    • Craig Crundwell 
    • Santiago Martinez-Acevedo 
    • Kate Kyuri Kim 
    • Joseph Bielski 
    • Majid Masoud
  3. Fine Arts - $3,500: Emma Moss
  4. International Studies - $3,500: Clariza Isabel Castro 
  5. Educational Studies - $3,500: Rachel Browne 
  6. Vocational Studies - $3,500: Adam Warren 
  7. Athletic Awards - $3,500 each

  8. This year we also have a new award “Rotary Leap Forward Award” - $2,500. The award recipient is Amanda Vandenburg.
