PDG Kathi Dick, District Chair, District 7080 Peace Committee, arranged a visit to Conrad Grebel University College – home of Peace and Conflict Studies (PACS) at the University of Waterloo. This program is the first of its kind in Canada and has been in operation for over 40 years.

Mayor Susan Fennel, graced the Rotary Club of Brampton South, with a visit on Monday, April 22, 2013.  - The Mayor of Brampton, Susan Fennel, visited the club as part of her program to explain the City’s programs to our service club and the community in general, entertaining questions after her introductory speech. Aspects of the City’s programs the Mayor touched on included:
Standard Rapid Transit System- Central Hockey League – Brampton Beast.
- Brampton Basketball team – Brampton A’s
- Economic development – brief on the Mayor’s recent visit to India, China, and the Philippines.
- Southwest Quadrant
- Peel Memorial Hospital.
- The evening was capped by Mayor Fennel's celebrating her birthday with members of the club. Here she is seen enjoying her birthday cake.

The Rotary Club of Brampton South has always been a strong supporter of the Community of Brampton.
The Basket Ball court at Kerry's Place Centre for Autism, the Peel Children Safety Village, the Children's Playroom and the Newborn wing of the Peel Memorial Hospital, all bear witness to Brampton South's financial commitment to the Brampton community.
Your support over the past years has helped our Lobster & Chicken Fest events raise funds in support of The Brampton Autism centre (Kerry's Place) and Brampton Safe city.
On June 21th, 2014, the Lobster & Chicken Fest returns to Century Gardens in Brampton. Your generous contributions will again go to these two worthy organizations, and other Brampton charities.

The Interact Club at Turner Fenton High School - Brampton, sponsored by The Rotary Club of Brampton South, is led by President Hillary Jones.
On Thursday April 19, 2012, this Interact club conducted a well organized car wash on the school parking lot at 4:00 pm.
This event raised $400.00, all of which will be donated to The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Congratulations go out to President Hillary and her team.
A special thanks to the staff of Turner Fenton High School for permitting the Interact club to host this event .

The Rotary Club of Brampton South continues its partnership with the Brampton's Chapter of Kerry's Place, center For Autism. The staff of Kerry's Place, recently embarked on a Health and Fitness program for the residents and visitors of both respite homes on Embleton Road, Brampton, and to this end, commissioned the construction of a Basketball court at this location.
The Rotary Club Of Brampton South sponsored this venture, and in January 04, 2011, presented Kerry's Place, Brampton, with a cheque fr $10,000.00
Construction is complete, and everyone anticipates a participative and energetic 2011 on the basketball court.
