Club Presidents Message

It gives me immense pleasure and pride to find myself leading our club in the year 2022-23, The rotary year of women empowerment; when Jennifer Jones Rotary International’s first female president is eager to advance Rotary’s narrative and DG Sandhya Maini is off to a fantastic start with her fantastic vision.

Mayor Susan Fennel's Visit and Birthday Celebration

Mayor Susan Fennel, graced the Rotary Club of Brampton South, with a visit on Monday, April 22, 2013.

The Mayor of Brampton, Susan Fennel, visited the club as part of her program to explain the City’s programs to our service club and the community in general, entertaining questions after her introductory speech. Aspects of the City’s programs the Mayor touched on included:

Standard Rapid Transit System
- Central Hockey League – Brampton Beast.
- Brampton Basketball team – Brampton A’s
- Economic development – brief on the Mayor’s recent visit to India, China, and the Philippines.
- Southwest Quadrant
- Peel Memorial Hospital.
- The evening was capped by Mayor Fennel's celebrating her birthday with members of the club. Here she is seen enjoying her birthday cake.

Bingo Volunteers

Thank you Fern and Mama Latigo for volunteering for a bingo session at Delta Bingo and Gaming during the month of April. This volunteering enables us to acquire funds to support our local charities. Thank you Delta Bingo and Gaming.

Club Social Dinner

Everyone was looking forward to coming together this year, to spend time with family, friends, and fellow rotarians, having to suspend this popular event during the pandemic.

Maternal and Child Health Month

An estimated 5.9 million children under the age of five die each year because of malnutrition, inadequate health care, and poor sanitation — all of which can be prevented.

The role of vocational services in the Rotary world

Sunil and Usha had an opportunity to meet with Rotary International Immediate Past President Shekhar Mehta on February 13, 2023 during there visit to Calcutta

Brampton Cluster Clubs respond to Earthquake in Turkey & Syria

Rotary's project partner ShelterBox’s team is in Turkey, collaborating closely with Rotary district leaders to respond to provide people affected by the earthquake with tents and essential aid items they need.

District 7080 PETS

The purpose of Presidents-Elect Training Seminars (PETS) is to further develop leadership skills and enhance Rotary knowledge to help incoming presidents to prepare to have a successful year as club president in the upcoming rotary year. Incoming president of the club attended the seminar.

Our Bingo Heroes

The club assembly, an in person meeting at Cassie Campbell Community Center took place on November 28th 2022. The club members unanimously decided that President Kiran Duggal would continue for the next term.
