The 2018 Christmas Fair was held on Sunday November 11th (Remembrance Day). The weather was excellent, just what was required.

Attendance was regarded by many as ‘average’, however the stallholders were happy with their takings for the day, including Rotary stalls.

We were supported again by Coast FM who conducted an outside broadcast.  The small group of volunteers ‘led’ by Barbara and Brenton Chappell did an excellent job providing music and interviewing interesting local people live on-air.

We had live entertainment provided by Blackwood High  School Music Department and the Blackwood Ukulele Group. Farmer Darcy’s Travelling Farm visited us again and of course the Bouncing Castle was in place for the day.

Cheques were presented by Community Services Committee Director Martin Rowe to several community groups for their continued work in the area.

Congratulations again to the BBQ Kings, the Plant and Book sellers and of course all the members, family and friends who assisted on the day.

Thank you to our small but very able committee- Robyn, Barry, Peter, Graham, Neil, Bruce and Ken and all the able people in the BREC shed! BUT most of all thank you to all our Rotary family, extended family and friends to help every year to put the fair together.
