Opening and Sgt at Arms Report
Paul T. called us to order and Chris Wood said the 4 Way test. Alicia did a very thoughtful invocation.
 
SAA was Cayley. She announced 19 Rotarians (+ Nicole). Jackie Anne Abbey was a guest of Jared.
Health and Good Cheer

50-50 Draw
Ben did the 50/50. Pot is $188. Both John J and Wilf were loosers.
Good News
Chris Wood spoke of the great Canadian tradition of opening up their cottage last weekend. Their cottage is being renovated.
Tom S. said he was glad to be back in the colony after walking Hadrian's Wall Path in Northern England, consuming English beer and Pub dinners. Also up to his cottage to open up over the ' 2-4' weekend , experiencing heat, thunder, snow and blackflies, All in a 24 hr period.
 
Jim said he talked a friend into joining Rotary. But they joined the Newmarket Rotary Club
 
 
Jokester Paul
Paul our Jokester was not present for the meeting. But he did show up afterward. He was lying low after some tainted email issues. And really Paul, it was Not your fault.

Linda reminded us of the President's Ball on June 16th. Rotarians are free to attend, all others cost $65. Sign up!
 
John Jonas said there was an Oktoberfest meeting after this one. And there was.
 
Mike Thomas has been our Coordinator of IT services for years. He would like to pass this task on to some else at this point in time. He will coach the new person as they assume the role.   Please get in touch with Mike if you are interested.
 
Jim McPherson reminded us of the Fun Run on this Sunday. There are volunteers for both Saturday and Sunday. Please show up at 8 am on Sunday if you are a volunteer.
 
Paul T. reminded us that he is doing " Walk a mile in her Shoes" at Cambridge City Hall, 12 noon on this coming Saturday. He will need a foot massage afterwards.

Cathy Gosse did her ' Who am I'.
In a nutshell: Favourite colour is blue. Fav food is ice cream. She is a Virgo. Loves gardening, golf, Game of Thrones, Netflix, I love Lucy, and reading. Also believes in Ghosts. Geneology search indicates some of her European ancestors were royalty etc.
 
Born in Sherbrooke PQ. 52 first cousins. Memories of happy times and grandma's kitchen.
Family moved to St Catherines. Saw a UFO at Font Hill.
Summer holidays in Quebec, then first job at the Red Barn Rest. when she was 15.
School at Lincoln Ave and Glenview here in Galt. Went to Sadie Hawkins with her friend as Raggedy Anne and Andy.
After High School she went to work in a bank and that has continued as her career.
Married in 1977 to a guy who does brick laying.
They did a brief stint in Edmonton but drove back here after several months.
They have 3 kids. Her mom helped with child care and she went back to banking.
They did trailer camping at Sauble beach and experienced a tornado.
They joined a church here in Cambridge.
Then they moved to a house in the country. Her husband had a heart attack but has made a full recovery.
2 out of 3 of their kids are married. They have grand children.
Now she has been in the banking business, mostly with BMO for over 30 years.
She has some familiarity with Kids Ability through a grand son who is autistic.
She wanted to join Rotary and she has done so. We are glad to have her.
