Trade Bank

Tradebank is a 30 year old company which started in Atlanta Georgia and came to Canada 20 years ago. We are one of very few Trade Exchanges that is franchised.

Currently in Canada there are 18 franchises with over 3000 members.

The Waterloo-Wellington franchise is the largest non corporate franchise in Canada with over 275 members. The barter Industry is a multi billion dollar industry. Most fortune 500 companies belong to one or more barter exchanges and many have their own Barter division. Over 20 million dollars of advertising on the Superbowl is bartered each year.

Tom and Andree Schnarr purchased the franchise in 2000. They were at that time a Tradebank member with their Window and Door company, GTS Windows. Since then they bought and developed Tradebank in Simcoe County as well, and sold their window company which is still a Tradebank member.

Tradebank is basically a large group of independent business owners in the community that trade services with each other. Tradebank taps into clients excess time, capacity and inventory and teaches client how to make purchases for products and services they need without paying cash. Buying at their own cost of doing business. Revenue Canada recognizes that one Tradebank dollar equals one Canadian Dollar.

Barter has been around since the beginning of time. Tradebank just formalized it and made it so clients don't have to trade one on one as they may not need what the other person is offering. There fore they can bank their credit and use it anywhere within the system.
