Anthony “Tony” Nizzardo Memorial ScholarshipIn loving memory of our friend and former Rotary member Anthony “Tony” Nizzardo, the Stratford Rotary Club is proud to establish the Anthony “Tony” Nizzardo Memorial Scholarship, an annual scholarship benefiting a graduating student of Stratford High School. Tony was a lifelong Stratford resident, local businessman, devoted family man, and active member of our community. Through his family’s business, N&S Electric, and his many years in Stratford, Tony built lasting relationships and contributed to the community he proudly called home. This scholarship will honor Tony’s memory each year by investing in the future of a Stratford student and helping the next generation pursue their education and dreams. Tony’s legacy will continue through the young people of the community he loved. In Memory of Anthony “Tony” NizzardoAnthony “Tony” Nizzardo, 76, of Stratford, Connecticut, passed away on August 16, 2026. Born on August 3, 1950, in Italy to Maria and Philip Nizzardo, Tony immigrated to the United States at the age of five. Tony was a beloved husband, father, and Papa. He shared a strong and lasting bond with his wife of over 50 years, Paula. He was very proud of his sons, Jeffrey and Stephen, daughters in law, Shannon and Sara, and his grandchildren, Gabriel, Justin, Nathan, and Megan. After graduating from UConn, Tony worked alongside his brothers Mike, Louie, and Phil his entire life in the family business, N&S Electric, which was founded by his father, Philip, and based in Stratford. He also worked closely with his family on many projects, buildings, and subdivisions. He was a lifelong Stratford resident and an active member of the community. Tony loved to golf and was a member of Mill River Country Club. Tony will be remembered for his sharp wit and sarcastic sense of humor. In lieu of flowers, Tony’s family requested that donations be made to the Stratford Rotary Club or the Perry House Foundation.
