Brewing Cider from a Kit Class
Hard cider is more popular than ever - why not learn to make your own?
Join us for a fun, interactive session and discover how simple and rewarding it is to ferment high-quality craft cider.
In this 2-hour session, our instructors will demonstrate and explain:
A. The equipment needed, where it is kept in the club room, how to clean and sanitize it.
B. We will then discuss the required ingredients and where to find them.
C. Demonstrate the proper method of mixing all the ingredients. Pitching the yeast and setting up the fermenter for the fermentation process.
D. How to clean, sanitize and store all the equipment in its proper locations.
After the cider is happily starting its fermentation, we will discuss next steps. For the cider and how you can complete the certification process so you can make cider on your own using the club's equipment.
This presentation will cover the equipment needed, its storage location, cleaning, sanitizing, pitching the yeast, storage of the fermenter.
When? Thursday, November 19

Black Friday Beer Tasting Event and Appetizer Potluck Leave the shopping malls behind and join us for a Black Friday Beer Tasting. Bring a dark or black beer to share with the group. Beers should be stouts, porters, barrel-aged beers, barleywines or black IPAs. Please bring an appetizer to share with the group. When? Friday, November 27 Where? Extract Brewing/Partial Mash Class
Ready to brew your own craft beer without the Full Grain complexity? Join our upcoming Extract Beer Kit Class. In this fun session, you will learn how to use pre-processed malt extracts and specialty grains to skip some of the all-grain mashing process while still brewing a quality batch of beer. What you will learn:
Whether you want to brew a crisp ale, a hoppy IPA or malty amber, this course gives you the knowledge and information on how you can become certified to brew on your own using the club's equipment. We will also discuss where to buy your kits and info on what to order when you are ready. When? Monday, December 7 Where?
