Gridiron Coaches Discuss "Good Side Management", "Situational Football" & "Manageable Third Downs"

John Antonio was named head coach of Casa Grande Varsity Football in 2019.  The position is a perfect fit for Antonio, who is a Petaluma Police Officer assigned to Casa Grande High School as a school resource officer.  He has built up the trust of players and school administration as both a police officer and coach.

He was an assistant for current St. Vincent head coach Trent Herzog at Casa Grande and for former head coach Gary Galloway at St. Vincent.  He was also head coach at Piner High School in Santa Rosa, where he took a team that hadn’t won more than two games in a season in a decade and led it into the North Coast Section playoffs in just three years.

Ricky Krist, a former three-sport athlete at Petaluma High School, has been teaching in the Petaluma School District for 30 years, beginning at Petaluma Junior High School in 1989 and moving to the high school in 1993. 

An integral part of PHS' football program for over 30 years, Ricky has been head football coach since 2000. 

Trent Herzog, St. Vincent High School's new head football coach is well known in local high school sports.  Formerly head coach at Casa Grande High School., Trent brings n extensive background in supporting you athletes on the field and in the classroom.
