Description

Join us for our second annual fundraiser dinner, benefiting children! Last year's event was a great success and we invite you to join us this year to make it even better!

Petaluma's three Rotary Clubs, (Rotary Club of Petaluma, Petaluma Sunrise and Petaluma Valley) have joined forces to host this community event at Brewsters Beer Garden on Monday, August 5th, 2019, from 5-8 pm.

Admission includes a full pasta dinner with salad, bread and dessert, and the option to purchase refreshments from Brewester's.

Entertainment for the evening will be provided by young people — on behalf of the young people of the world. Entertainment for this year includes:

- Mudita with soul sisters Lucia London and Kelley Tillman, recent graduates from Marin School of the Arts, and bassist Eli Lincoln. Arguably identifiable as folk, their soaring harmonies aim to incite joy and inspire hope.

- Dancers from the O’Brien Center of the Arts in Petaluma. Martha O’Brien and her young stars will be honoring us again with their presence this year, not only with beautiful dance but also some vocal numbers.

- The Petaluma Valley Rotary Rockers. Exuberantly youthful in spirit, they will repeat their prize-winning lip sync rendition of Janis Joplin’s, “Peace of my Heart” – something for the truly young at heart.

All proceeds will be used by each of the participating Rotary clubs to fund a variety of global service projects aimed at benefiting children. Some examples of past and present Rotary club's projects benefitting children include:

- Third Grade Dictionary Project (Sonoma County)
- Teacher Micro Grants (Sonoma County)
- Funded Shelter for Abused Children in Nepal
- Clean Water Project in Uganda
- Provided text books, computers, and supplies for schools in Uganda
- Sponsoring children in Uganda so they can attend secondary school and college
- Built School in Dominican Republic
- Installing solar power systems in Guatemala so students can study at night
- More Hear More-Quito in Ecaudor, detection and training to navigate hearing problems
- NewGen Peacbuilders-Tandil, Argentina, youth peace education
- Agroecological Farm-La Esperanza Parish, Ecuador

There will also be a raffle and silent auction for a variety of gift baskets and other wonderful items, creating further opportunities to donate to our global programs and bring home some great gifts.

Please join us for this family friendly event, and make a positive difference in the lives of children around the world!

Please note, seating is limited and tickets may sell out in advance. If tickets are still available at the door, the general admission prices will be $25.00. Please purchase in advance so we can plan for your attendance!
