Rotarians and helpers picking up boxes of turkeys which were being stored in the freezers at Shaws Market in Burlington. The Turkeys came from the Boston Food Bank and had been picked up from there by club members earlier in the week and transported to Shaws for storage. The turkeys were taken to the UCC church in Burlington where the Burlington Food Pantry workers, Church staff and Rotarians held their annual Thanksgiving meal food distribution to over 150 needy Burlington families.

This is the first group of Rotarians who arrived at the beginning of the afternoon food distribution. The young man is the grandson of a member.  He pitched in and quickly learned the meaning of the Rotary motto "Service Above Self". Two Rotarians are holding 15 pound frozen turkeys which were given to families who had registered for the event.

Soon after the first Rotarians arrived at the UCC Church more joined them to help for the rest of the afternoon. The Women Rotarians helped the food recipients pick up and bag the Thanksgiving dinner foods they received while the Rotarian men performed "bag boy" duties, helping recipients carry  their turkeys and bags of food to their cars.
