DISTRICT GOVERNOR'S VISIT

Rotary District Governor Peter Simonson joined us at our lunch meeting and apprised us of his plans and hopes for the coming Rotary year. Chief among these was an enhanced effort to increase membership in the District's clubs through invitations to attend meetings and increased corporate memberships. Another event at this day's meeting was the presentation of an award to long time club member Al Fay (r). The award was provided by Special Olympics in appreciation of Fay's decorating his antique fire truck with a Special Olympics banner and displaying it at our Club sponsored Special Olympics softball tournament this year.
