Global change starts at home.  Rotary's work begins in local communities through Rotary clubs.  Rotary club members are volunteers who work together locally, regionally, and even internationally to leverage their resources and skills to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, support education initiatives, promote peace, and eradicate deadly diseases like polio.  Local clubs organize themselves around a community's unique needs, and they develop their own unique character.  There are 35,000+ Rotary clubs worldwide, but no two Rotary clubs are alike!  This is true in Lubbock, TX as well.  Lubbock is home to three vibrant Rotary clubs.  Each club is characterized by their service projects and club personality.

The Rotary Club of Metropolitan Lubbock

Lubbock's "Metro Rotary" is comprised of active volunteers of varying professions.  We are accountants, college professors, business owners, lawyers, horticulturists, physicians, nurses, financial service professionals, and more.  Above all, we are PEOPLE OF ACTION.  This club is focused heavily on local service.  We operate two delivery routes for Lubbock Meals on Wheels every Friday, mow lawns for disabled neighbors, promote literacy at Dupre and Hodges Elementary, ring bells for the Salvation Army, and volunteer at the South Plains Food Bank.  Could our club be a good fit for you?  Attend a club meeting to find out!
