Pints for Polio 2019

Join us for a fundraiser designed to increase awareness 
of Rotary's monumental efforts to eradicate polio.

Gone from the US for 30 years now, many think that polio is a thing of past.
Unfortunately there are still children in two countries in the world that are at
risk of getting this debilitating disease.
When Rotary started their commitment to fight polio there were 350,000 new cases each year and in 2019 we have had less than 50. The only remaining endemic countries are Afghanistan and Pakistan, where immunization efforts are often hampered by unrest in the region. 
Rotary works in coordination with the World Health Organization and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
to provide funding, research and volunteers - all needed to make this a success.

We are SO close to completely eliminating this disease from the face of the earth!
