Dr. Bruce A. Friedman, M.D., serves as Director of Pathology Data Systems at University of Michigan. Dr. Friedman is a world-renowned expert in the area of laboratory informatics and Founder of the Association of Pathology Informatics. Dr. Friedman served his pathology internship at Yale-New Haven Hospital and the University of Michigan Medical School. After serving in the U.S. Army Pathology Corps, he returned to Michigan in 1973, becoming a full Professor of Pathology in 1980. In addition to his clinical and academic responsibilities, Dr. Friedman is President of Consultants in Medical Information Technology. Dr. Friedman serves as Member of Medical Advisory Board at Biophysical Corporation. He is the author of some 90 scientific articles, book chapters and abstracts. Dr. Friedman is a graduate of the University of Michigan Medical School.
