Behavioral Health Integration Efforts at ProHealth Care
O. Kirk Yauchler is the manager for the Behavioral Medicine Center Outpatient and Assessment & Referral departments, which are part of the continuum of behavioral health services at ProHealth Care. His clinical background is in social work / psychotherapy, and he has been working in the behavioral health field for the past 15 years. He maintains his social work licensure, and is also certified as a substance abuse counselor. In his current administrative role he is assisting ProHealth Care with efforts to integrate behavioral health services into the primary care setting. Kirk and his family have been living in the Waukesha area since 1998, and he is proud to be a member of this community.

The New ProHealth Cancer Center
Dr. Johnson is the Medical Director for ProHealth Care Cancer Center where he directs a dedicated team of oncologists, hematologists and other professionals in providing award-winning care as evidenced by the Commission on Cancer’s Outstanding Achievement Award for four consecutive cycles. Dr. Johnson is board-certified in medical oncology, hematology and internal medicine. His undergraduate degree is from Princeton University and his medical degree is from the University of Kentucky. Dr. Johnson completed an internship and residency in at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center- Harvard Medical School and his fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas. Dr. Johnson has collaborated on numerous publications and has won an impressive number of honors and awards. In his spare time, Dr. Johnson concentrates on his family, fly fishing and exploring 20th century American fiction.

What role can Foundations and Donors play in creating a Thriving Waukesha County?
Fred Gutierrez from the Greater Milwaukee Foundation and Kathryn Leverenz from the Waukesha Co. Community Foundation represent charter organizations for the Thriving Waukesha County Alliance. As representatives of community foundations, they are trying to network and educate donors and organizations on the impact their gift can have to improve lives in Waukesha County and ways where donor behaviors can negatively affect local impact. They will share recommendations their organizations have implemented in the review of funding proposals and steps their organizations are taking to assist local nonprofits to increase capacity, partner with other organizations and invest in critical infrastructure that will further the community impact of local nonprofits on the lives of Waukesha citizens.
|Living United: Merger of United Way of Greater Mil||Jul 20, 2015||
United Way of Greater Milwaukee merged in February to create a regional United Way organization. The purpose of the merger, according to United Way Worldwide was, “to allow more powerful responses to pressing community issues that are market-driven rather than geography-driven and will increase satisfaction among key corporate accounts in this multi-county area.” Leaders from United Way will share their current status and their vision for our region to “Live United.”

A local alliance of nonprofits that serve individuals with disabilities are working together to dispel common myths about hiring individuals with a disability, share employer best practices and resources in creating an inclusive workforce.
