Congratulations to the Rotary Club of Whitby Sunrise for using the People of Action branding available to them and using it to promote their club AND ask the public to join. We are sharing their idea with YOU so you too can do this with your Rotary club. Go to the Brand Center on the Rotary International website and have some fun making your own "People of Action" materials for your club to use to attract members. Here is what they did.....

Not speaking the same language was not a barrier in developing this friendship between Rotarian Barry Mount and a lovely family in a remote village in Laos. Kindness, curiosity, and a heartfelt smile was all that was needed.
This year a group from the Rotary Club of Whitby Sunrise took a life-changing trip to Laos in support of Adopt a Village in Laos. The Rotarians helped to distribute family water filters in rural Laos - the most heavily bombed country per capita, in the world. While rich in culture and tradition, this area is severely lacking in education, healthcare, and safe hygiene practices.

Are you looking to connect with new and interesting people both locally and from around the world? Join us at one of our breakfast meetings held every Wednesday at 7:00 a.m. at the Royal Oak South, Whitby (617 Victoria St W). #rotarywhitbysunrise#peopleofaction #rotaryinternational

Here is another post:

The Rotary Club of Whitby Sunrise lending a helping hand at the Muslim Welfare Centre for Needy Women and Children. Lots of fun and laughs working together to apply a fresh coat of paint throughout this 45-bed emergency shelter.

This Centre provides a culturally-sensitive, safe haven for women and children in need, with a primary focus on those who are homeless. Since 1996, the Muslim Welfare Home has helped over 11,000 women and their children find hope.
