Welcome to the District 7070 Rotaract e-Club!

We are a truly inclusive Club accessible for all Rotaract members of District 7070. From Picton in the South-East to New Tecumseth in the North-West, and all points in between! This club is important for District 7070, as it represents an opportunity for us to reach young people we might not otherwise be able to connect with an in-person Rotaract Club. This can be either because there isn’t one in their area or the one that does operate near them doesn’t work with their schedule. We are also not restricted to a location- we can chat while you are on a subway car, train, at home, in the office, on the tractor, wherever!......

Because it is such a spread out district, we are focusing less on meeting in person and more Skype/Hangouts interactions for meetings. If people want to get together to share a computer to be in on the meeting, that’s fine. Official meetings will happen on a monthly basis but quick check-ins on how projects are going via online Chat and through shared documents (such as Google Drive). We have a plan to meet in person quarterly at a different location in the District so we can truly appreciate how widespread our District is across the GTA and South-Central Ontario!

We aim to be a results-driven, with more of a focus on projects (standalone and in collaboration with other Rotaract and Rotary Clubs), team cohesion and building up Rotaract’s reputation in our respective communities as the organization to join for young professionals. It is our hope to have enough members spread out across the District that we can have a Community Liaison Officer for each different zone within the district responsible for doing the recruiting within their area and building connections with the Rotaract/Rotary Clubs in their area, as well as other like minded organizations for the purpose of collaboration. This can be talking us up to others, promoting, and visiting the Rotaract Clubs within the area.

The District 7070 Rotaract e-Club is currently accepting new Board of Directors and General Members between the ages of 18-30 from all across District 7070! If interested, or know someone who might be, please send an email outlining your interest and what positive things you feel you will bring to the e-Club to Rachael Tracey, President of the District 7070 e-Club, at rachael.tracey@outlook.com.

Come find us at the 2018 District Conference!
