Here is an important message from Virginia O'Reilly, our District 7070 Membership Chair:

Non-Rotarians visiting RI’s website, www.rotary.org, who become interested in Rotary can fill out a form on the website, expressing their interest in learning more about our organization. These leads are forwarded to the District Governors and District Membership Committee Chairs in proper districts. Each District, including D7070, receives these leads from RI on a regular basis.  For more details of Virginia's message, please Read more.....

Once received, the District Membership Committee will contact each individual to find out their particular interest in Rotary, including identifying suitable Clubs. Those Clubs who receive the information on the individuals are recommended to follow up by contacting the individuals - potential members – and inviting them to their meetings.

Interestingly, and somewhat disappointingly – the District Membership Committee has found that Clubs are pretty poor at following up these leads. One wonders why. These individuals have expressed interest in Rotary; why would we then not follow up on the leads and have them come to visit our Clubs?

In order to assist Clubs in taking advantage of the Rotary Leads, Raj Rajasri of the Rotary Club of Richmond Hill and, a member of the District Membership Committee has assumed the role of District Lead Quarterback. Raj will contact each Club and discuss the progress for each Rotary Lead. Please, take advantage of working with Raj, so we make better use of the Rotary Leads – the untapped resource.
