On October 5, 2019, Rotarians from 20 clubs across our District participated in a ‘Grow Rotary’ workshop.  We heard about Rotary’s new Action Plan laying the groundwork for us to thrive by increasing our impact, expanding our reach, enhancing participant engagement and increasing our ability to adapt.  We discussed what it means for us and our clubs.  And then we exercised these ideas and built some ‘big idea’ projects where everyone had a say.  Listen to the buzz in the room!! .....

The world today is not the same as it was when Rotary was founded in 1905, or for that matter 20 years ago!  Demographics have shifted, the pace of change has accelerated, and technology has created new opportunities for connection and service.  What has not changed is a need for the values that define Rotary and Rotarians…fellowship, integrity, diversity, service, leadership.  Our challenge is to build on our past and embrace a future where we evolve and keep Rotary not only relevant, but thriving.

“The Grow Rotary workshop was informative and inspiring. Like many clubs, one of our biggest challenges is adding new members while engaging our present members so that people stay involved and engaged. The workshop gave me the tools to help our club develop strategies for doing that - both the questions to ask and the will to ask them.” Joe Solway, Bowmanville Rotary

Join us in January 2020 for the next Grow Rotary Workshop and discover for yourself what the buzz is about!!
