Warrior Bonfire Program
Feb. 18, 2016
We are a small non-profit based out of Vicksburg, Mississippi. Our sole purpose is to help our nation’s Purple Heart Veterans. Many of these heroes are silent about the suffering that they endured and continue to endure. They believe they are protecting their families and loved ones through their silence, yet their suffering only continues. What the Warrior Bonfire Program has discovered is that they will open up with each other and that our programs allow them to do just that. We provide an opportunity for wounded Veterans to enjoy a favorite activity while partaking in the camaraderie and therapeutic value of spending time around the bonfire with fellow veterans.” As a small organization that just getting ramped up in Colorado, we need to get the word out about what we do for these veterans. www.warriorbonfireprogram.org |

Pedaling 4 Parkinson's
May 26, 2016
Greg Fiske owns and operates Fiske Brothers Yardworks, a lawn maintenance company in Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree, and surrounding areas—but that’s not why he’s here today. His company is a sponsor of Pedaling 4 Parkinson’s, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting people with Parkinson’s Disease, and those searching for a cure. Pedaling 4 Parkinson’s main event is an annual charity bike ride to raise funds for Parkinson’s Disease research, which starts and ends in Lone Tree’s Sweetwater Park. Greg has several family members and friends with Parkinson’s Disease, and years ago he saw two options: (1) he could just sit around and watch those people shake; or (2) he could join the fight against Parkinson’s Disease. Supporting Pedaling 4 Parkinson’s is his opportunity to help those who deal with this devastating disease on a daily basis. Greg Fiske |

Peace Corps Costa Rica
Jun. 16, 2016
My name is Philip Nordeck, and from March 2014 to June 2016 I served as a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) volunteer for Peace Corps Costa Rica. Born in Conifer, Colorado, but raised in Littleton, Colorado, I attended Collegiate Academy of Colorado, from which I graduated in 2008. The following fall I began my studies at the University of Colorado, Boulder, where, in December 2012, I received a B.A. in English and a B.A. in Philosophy. After graduation, I traveled north and fulfilled a childhood dream and spent the winter working and snowboarding in Revelstoke, British Colombia, Canada. The following spring I traded snowfalls for rainfalls, whilst commencing and even bigger dream, and began my service as a Peace Corps volunteer in Costa Rica. As a volunteer, I taught English at Jorge Volio Jimenez high school in La Lucha de Sabalito. La Lucha is a small agricultural community of about 400 residents that is located approximately 3 km north of the Costa Rica/Panama border. In addition to teaching English, some of my Peace Corps projects I have done include: taught a community English class; taught a community exercise class; facilitated the donation of over 1,000 books to local elementary schools (all thanks to Rotary!); and lead teacher training workshops. However, I am most proud of the “JumpStart” English camp project. JumpStart is a month long English camp for students with no prior English exposure that focuses on intense English education and prepares incoming freshmen for high school. For recreation, I enjoy cycling, snowboarding, listening to podcasts, and rooting for the Colorado Rockies. |

NFL Since 1970
Aug. 11, 2016
You or someone you know is such a huge football fan you asked for info on this crazy publication I self-publish in Littleton. You and I may have met anywhere.... I ask just about everyone I meet who their favorite NFL team is. Perhaps you heard one of my talks on the history of Pro-football at a Rotary Club, the Library, Forney Museum or retirement community.
Remember, I publish a version of this book for all 32 NFL teams. The first page of each specialized book is dedicated to facts about the selected team. The cost for a team specific book is only $22.50. The basic book is just $20 for 100 pages of facts football fans everywhere can't live without! NFL Since 1970 has made sports fans of all ages happy since 2009! Below is one of my columns from the yourhub.comsection of the Denver Post, my website link, and the link to see me on TV as the football fan of the week. Please send a reply to this email to set up your purchase. Again, thank you for your interest inNFL Since 1970. Scott Perry
