Let’s put service into action—and get a few trees in the ground! The Rotary de Tolosa Environmental Committee invites you to join EcoSLO’s Neighborhood Tree Planting Event on October 31. I’m registered as a Tree Captain and am looking for 3–4 Rotarians to join my team. Ready to dig in? Here’s what to do:
If we have enough volunteers for additional teams, EcoSLO will pair them with other Tree Captains. We’ll plant our usual Coast Live Oak seedlings later this year, so consider this a chance to dust off your shovel and warm up for our own planting day! Hope to see you there! Rotary volunteer day at the SLO Food Bank! Please sign up for the morning shift from 8:45 AM to 11 AM on November 12! Please arrive 15 minutes before the shift starts (yes, that is 8:45 AM). Check-in will be at the front desk. All volunteers are recommended to wear/bring the following: • Closed-toe shoes (required) • Clothes you can move comfortably in and don't mind getting dirty. • Reusable water bottle and snack If you cannot make the shift for whatever reason, please let Mark Shelton know ASAP so we can find a replacement. We're looking for volunteers to join Waste Connections for their Annual Holiday Bike-Build! This wonderful community event brings people together to assemble bicycles that will be donated to local agencies, helping make the holidays a little brighter for children in need. No bike-building experience? No problem! The bicycles arrive in kits with assembly instructions. All you need is a willingness to lend a hand and have some fun! Event Details:
We'll be joining Waste Connections employees and their families for a morning of teamwork, fellowship, and giving back to our community. 🎁 Bonus Opportunity to Give! Waste Connections will also be collecting new, unwrapped toys for children of all ages, from youngsters to teenagers.If you'd like to contribute, simply bring a toy with you to the event!
