The Rotary Foundation Trustee Bryn Styles presented Paul Harris recognitions to Andrew Parks, Audrey Thornton and Chris Tworkowski.

BEL Recognizes Paul Harris Fellows

When a person is recognized with a Paul Harris Fellow, it means that $1000. US has been contributed to the Rotary Foundation in their name.  Foundation dollars make a difference in the world through work that promotes peace and conflict prevention/resolution, disease prevention and treatment, water and sanitation, maternal and child health, basic education and literacy and economic and community development.  Foundation dollars change lives.  A Paul Harris recipient upholds the ideals of Rotary and holds themselves to high ethical standards in his/her  personal and professional life.  BEL projects currently supported by the Foundation include the “Adopt a Family” Christmas project and the Cambodia School Build.

Foundation Trustee Bryn Styles presented Andrew Park with his Paul Harris +3.  Andrew is a former member of the club, who believes in the ideals of Rotary and the work of the Foundation.  In his vocation he serves others with integrity and honesty.  As a member of the club he was instrumental in the success of the “Adventures in Tourism” program.

Trustee Bryn presented Audrey Thornton with her Paul Harris +2.  Audrey has contributed to the club through her support of the Youth Exchange program and International Dinner and has volunteered in the community at her church and the local library.  She holds herself to high ethical standards in her interactions with family, friends and the community.  She demonstrates “service above self” often putting the needs of others ahead of her own.

Trustee Bryn presented Rotarian Chris Tworkowski with his Paul Harris +5.  Chris has served on the BEL board for the last several years and has represented the club on the Speed Skating Oval and Trails committee.  In his vocation, he can be trusted.  His clients know that they can count on him to work on their behalf with honesty and integrity.  Chris works tirelessly to promote the work of Rotary.

Congratulations Andrew, Audrey and Chris.  We move closer to a world of peace and understanding thanks to your commitment to Rotary and your support of the Rotary Foundation.
